Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to purchases made through the online store www.laysedlakova.com, operated by Lay Sedláková s.r.o., Company ID: 06305351, with its registered office at Korunní 2569/108, 10100 Prague 10, Czech Republic.

The Terms and Conditions specify the contractual relationship between the Customer and the Seller in connection with sales between Lay Sedláková s.r.o. (“LAY”) and its business partners (“Customer”). Contracts are concluded in accordance with the legal framework of the Czech Republic.

By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, which also include the Complaints Procedure. Customers are duly informed about these Terms and Conditions before submitting an order and are given the opportunity to review them.


1. Purchase and Delivery

Each purchase made through www.laysedlakova.com is binding. By submitting an order, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions, and a purchase agreement is concluded upon acceptance of the order. By placing the order, the Customer also consents to LAY collecting and archiving personal data.

The delivery of goods is fulfilled either by direct handover to the Customer or by handing the goods over to the carrier. At this moment, the risk of damage passes to the Customer.

The availability of each product is displayed on its product detail page. Delivery time depends on availability, payment conditions, and shipping method, and shall not exceed 20 days. In standard cases, orders are dispatched within 5 working days after receipt of full payment.

Each order is shipped with a tax document/invoice. For efficiency, LAY reserves the right to split an order into multiple deliveries. In such cases, shipping costs are charged only for the first delivery.

In the case of an exchange within 10 days of purchase, the Customer bears the shipping costs for each shipment. For product returns within 10 days, the Customer also covers return shipping costs. For purchases above 30,000 CZK, LAY covers both delivery and payment costs.


2. Warranty

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of products or their parts caused by use. Reduced product lifespan due to normal wear is not considered a defect and cannot be claimed.

For products sold at a reduced price, the warranty does not cover the specific defects for which the discount was granted. In the case of second-hand items, LAY is not responsible for defects corresponding to the degree of previous use or wear at the time of acceptance.

To make a warranty claim, proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or warranty card) must be provided. When sending products to LAY, items must be packaged securely to avoid damage during transport. LAY does not provide post-warranty service.


3. Complaints Procedure

If a Customer discovers a defect during the warranty period that is not caused by improper use but results from a manufacturing fault, they are entitled to a claim.

  • For removable defects:
    – the Customer has the right to free, proper, and timely removal of the defect
    – the Customer may request replacement of the defective product or part if appropriate
    – if the defect cannot be removed, the Customer may request a reasonable discount or withdraw from the contract

  • For irreparable defects:
    – the Customer has the right to replacement of the defective product or withdrawal from the contract

If a defect occurs repeatedly after repair (the same defect appears after three repairs) or if there are multiple defects preventing normal use, the Customer is entitled to replacement or withdrawal from the contract.

Complaints do not apply in cases where:

  • the defect or damage was caused by improper use, handling, or misuse contrary to instructions

  • the defect was caused by unauthorized interference with the product

  • the defect is the result of normal wear and tear

Products submitted for complaint must be clean and packed in appropriate protective packaging. LAY is not liable for mechanical damage caused before receipt.


4. Withdrawal from Contract

Given the nature of distance contracts, Customers who are consumers (not businesses) have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 10 days of receipt, without penalty.

This right does not apply to Customers acting within their business activities.

In case of valid withdrawal, the purchase price will be refunded to the Customer’s bank account. LAY has the right to withdraw from the contract if the Customer fails to pay the full purchase price within 10 days of concluding the contract.

Withdrawal must be notified to LAY by email at shop@laysedlakova.com. If the Customer has already received the product, it must be returned to:

LAY will assess the condition of returned goods. If the goods are not returned intact, the Customer must compensate for any loss in value or damage (missing parts, damaged packaging, wear, etc.).


5. Final Provisions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchase agreements concluded between LAY and the Customer.

LAY reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be published on www.laysedlakova.com.
